I have chronic pain on my upper shoulders and neck for many years. I went to Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine because I want to see if there is an innovative solution for my pain besides taking pain medication. I saw Dr. Mareshah Dunning and she took an intuitive approach toward treatment and patient care. Dr. Dunning was genuine and respectful with my issues and went above and beyond to help me find the root cause of my pain. Dr. Dunning immediately requested blood tests and MRI that gave me the big picture of my chronic pain. Dr. Dunning found thyroid issues and decompress cervical disc. She ordered physical therapy for the 1st step into treating my pains and some additional steps in the treatment plans. Dr. Dunning is a skilled physician and I’m very thankful to have her as my doctor. I give Dr. Dunning 10 stars!!
Dr. Gerais is absolutely amazing! I came into the clinic three days after an avulsion fracture of my toe looking for a natural alternative for pain relief and to minimize inflammation. At the time I could hardly walk, the bottom half of my toe had been numb for days since my injury and the rest of my toe and the muscles around it were very painful. My concern was that the nerve on my toe may be damaged long term. Dr. Gerais gave me a wonderful anti-inflammatory protocol and did pemf treatment that returned feeling to the bottom of my toe after the first session. I cannot recommend her highly enough for a fellow athlete with a broken bone and associated nerve issues. Her treatments are both gentle and powerful especially for someone who has virtually zero mobility. She supported me throughout my recovery and I’m happy to have started running again without pain or numbness!
Very pleased with the care I receive. Highly recommend especially if you are tired of traditional medicine.
I recently saw Dr. Trajan regarding hip pain, osteoarthritis. We decided on prolotherapy injections. Although this is not a comfortable experience, she and her staff did their best to put me at ease. I am feeling enough relief to believe this is working and I will definitely return for more treatments.
Dr Trahan and her students gave me my life back! I am only a few days in on the prolo therapy to my lower back and have been virtually pain free since I walked out of their office. 🙏🏼I was so impressed at how professional and timely the team was during my exam and each appointment!Thank you to the providers, Dr. Trahan and Leslie Axelrod for helping me sidestep surgery in lieu of this treatment! 💕
The Docs at the Neil Riordan pain clinic are super caring and are invested in their patients. I am a physical therapist in the area and have had the pleasure of working closely with Dr Dunning and others at the pain clinic and really appreciate the care and availability for communication with myself and the patients we share. Very good people! I would Highly recommend!
I enjoyed my experience at the Neil Riordan Center (NRC), fully! Put simply, this medical center is different. Quickly noticeable is the bright, uplifting atmosphere, with greetings of kind and caring nature upon entering the waiting room. Prompt service is a quality shared by both private physician shifts and student rotations. I find it most impressive that the doctors here have mastered the ability to be both professional and personable. When found together, these are the very qualities that separate great physicians from mediocre doctors. As this is a teaching clinic, both patients and students can ask more questions, learn more about specific conditions, and become far more involved in patient-centered care. Many clinics don’t take the time to educate their patients, but as mentioned, the NRC is different! Just as unique as this clinic is, are too the specialties it offers. From less invasive treatments, such as acupuncture and physical medicine modalities, to slightly more invasive procedures, such as spinal manipulations, perineural, prolotherapy, and platelet rich plasma (PRP), this clinic is truly multi-disciplinary. Core principles, such as "doctor as teacher" also encourages joint decision making when determining the best type of care for each patient. Where decisions are made together, questions welcomed, and doctor-patient relationships highly valued, outcomes are always more favorable. I look forward to utilizing the Neil Riordan Center to keep my body fit, flexible, and feeling its best, and I encourage others to do the same.
I would recommend the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine to anyone. I had an appointment on a student rotation which means I was seen by 3 student clinicians, a resident doctor, and Dr. Kwan. My care couldn't have been more thorough. I was fully assessed and then received a thorough treatment plan as well. I will be returning anytime I have any pain and need help healing.
I am beyond impressed with the smooth process of booking appointment, to thoroughness of the staff. Kind, professional, friendly. What I love most is that because this is a learning environment for the student, you learn a lot about what the root of issue could be, the steps they are taking and why they are taking them. After seeing 20+ doctors for ongoing, painful issues, it’s nice to have people who care about fixing the problem and educating you along the way.
Fantastic service, physicians and staff who really care and take lots of time to help. So different from most medical facilities.
